The Victoria is noted for its mostly, but not exclusively, acoustic Blues and folksy music with a healthy mix both local and national touring acts such as Dave Sharp (founder member of the Alarm) Boss Caine (played a live session on ‘Whispering Bob Harris show on BBC radio) TwoManTing (Glastonbury) NavaCross (Nominated by journalists as one of the best new blues bands 2014 in Blues Matters Magazine.
To catch one of these great artistes pop down on Sundays 5.30-8pm.
Many of the artistes featured are signed to record labels and they often appear on the pub’s iconic “Wurlitzer” style jukebox.

In addition, the pub has held a wide variety of interesting ‘occasions’, i.e.: 1920s ‘speakeasy’
night, quiz nights, fancy dress nights, (the Halloween Night was particularly well attended)
themed vinyl nights, and is home to the Colchester Cheese Appreciation Society, The Victoria Wine Club and the Mile End Coffee Club.
